How to: Sync iTunes to Android

Have you ever wanted to sync your iTunes library to your Android phone? Here is a step by step guide on how to do that.

The best app, I found, is called doubleTwist

Step 1: Downloading and Installing


1.Go to http://www.doubletwist.com/

(it works with both Mac and PC)

2.Download the corresponding application for your computer and install it

3. Close/Quit doubleTwist

4. Open "Market" on your phone/tablet, do a search for "doubleTwist" and install the first result, it should say "doubleTwist player"

5. Download and install "doubleTwist player"

Step 2: Getting your iTunes ready

In doubleTwist there are two options for syncing; you can sync all, or select a playlist to sync.

1. If you want to sync your whole iTunes library, you can skip this section and go to Step 3.

2. Open up iTunes and create a new playlist

I Choose to name mine doubleTwist, you can make any name you like

3. Add any music you would like to sync, to this playlist.

Step 3: Connecting your device

1. Open doubleTwist on both your computer and your device.

2.Connect your USB cable to your Android device and mount the SD card when prompted.

 3. DoubleTwist should automatically recognize your device.

Step 4: Syncing!

1. Now just go to the your device on the left bar, it should look like this.

2. Check "Sync music to device"

3. Select "All Music" or "Selected Playlists"

4. If you selected "All Music" skip this step, 

After you have Selected "Selected Playlists:" you will see a list of your iTunes Playlists, 

If they are not there, go to "File -> Library -> Import iTunes Playlists" 

Select your desired playlists.

5. Click on "Sync" !

Your done, after the program syncs, safely remove your USB cord, and your music will be in your music app and in the doubleTwist app.

P. S. You can do the same with your Video's, just go under the Videos tab in the device page.
